Welcome to the Flat Rock Park Foundation. Opened to the public in December 2013, The Park at Flat Rock is a marvel. Formerly used only for agriculture and as a golf course, the land had excellent “bones” and through the vision of landscape architect Ed Lastein and the commitment of the Village, became The Park at Flat Rock.
Peaceful, green, and inviting, The Park is a place for all generations to enjoy free play, unstructured recreation, curiosity, reflection, meditation, and contemplation that nurtures the human spirit.
The Flat Rock Village Council created the Flat Rock Park and Recreation Foundation, Inc., and incorporated it as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2013 to secure resources for the development of The Park at Flat Rock, ensuring that the park endures for generations.
